Why is it important to Rethink?

Find out what is really in your Asian Drink

The Model Minority Myth for Asian-Americans can make it harder to focus on health. Many people know drinking soda everyday is not good for your health, but Asian drinks can be just as bad. For example, boba milk tea can have as many calories as a McDonalds double cheeseburger [1. http://www.nytimes.com/2012/06/06/dining/debating-the-proposed-new-york-city-regulation-on-drink-size.html?_r=0].

This website was created to raise awareness for health concerns caused by these drinks.

Why is this Rethink Your Drink campaign is important?

Consuming sugary drinks can raise your risks of having heart disease, and being overweight/obese. A study showed that young people who often drank sugary drinks had higher risk factors of similar chronic diseases later their lives.
